A journey.

Hi. My name is Cassie. I’m a wife, a new mother, a daughter, a friend.

The purpose of this blog is to document my wellness journey.

I love reading, and I love discussing literature. Literature is our mirror to our souls. It is a way for us to see who we really are and who we can become. I miss my college years of dissecting literature with my friends and classmates. I miss digging deep to really analyze my own soul. Here, I will return to that introspection in an endeavor to grow my own soul.

Three years ago, I chose to become a vegan. After watching “What the Health” I was thoroughly scared of my eating habits and the effects it has had on my body. I began eating vegan foods, but unfortunately a lot of that food was still processed. I ate meat alternatives and continued eating too much sugar. Once I became pregnant it was increasingly difficult for me to maintain my commitment. I went back to eating chicken and fish, and occasionally eating red meat. Now, 5 months postpartum, I recommitting to a vegan lifestyle, but this time I am transitioning myself and my family from processed foods to a whole food based vegan lifestyle. Here, I will document my growth.
